Responsible Gaming

This page sets out practical advice for gambling in a safer way, alongside a plain account of what this site can and cannot do for a reader who wants help. It does not offer any control over an account, and it does not run any check on a reader. Everything of that kind happens elsewhere.

What can this page actually do for a reader?

This site is a set of static files. It has no login, no registration and no user account, so there is no deposit cap, loss cap, reality check, cooling-off period or self-exclusion sitting behind any page here. Controls like these belong to an account held at an operator's own site, and they can only be switched on, checked or enforced there, not on a page like this one.

Nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing, but that restriction is a statement, not a check: the actual verification of a reader's age happens at the destination a reader is sent to. In the same way, there is no advertising or behavioural profiling network running on these pages, so nothing published here is aimed at a reader because of gambling behaviour they have shown.

Each of the ten operator listings on this site ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. That line exists because everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that moment the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply — not anything published here.

Where is help linked from this page?

Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. These are the only outbound links on the whole site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them.

What practical habits actually reduce harm?

Decide the amount before starting and treat it as already spent. Deciding in advance removes the moment of pressure where a bigger number feels reasonable once money is already on the table.

Never chase a loss. A loss chased with a bigger bet usually turns one loss into two, because the decision is being made to recover money rather than to play.

Keep gambling out of borrowed money. Money that is owed elsewhere carries a cost even before it is spent, so losing it creates a second problem on top of the first.

Take breaks during a session. Stepping away breaks the run of decisions being made one after another without a pause to notice how much has actually gone.

Involve someone else early, while it is still manageable to talk about, rather than after the amounts involved have grown large enough to be hard to explain.
